Speaker

Emily Schultheis is a freelance journalist and fellow with the Institute of Current World Affairs based in Berlin, where she focuses on far-right political movements and challenges to democracy in Europe. Her reporting has appeared in The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, The Guardian, The New York Times, Slate and Politico, among others. Before moving to Berlin in 2017, Emily covered US politics as a Washington, DC-based staff writer for Politico, National Journal and CBS News.
