ECPMF’s Jane Whyatt hosted a panel presenting the cross-border investigative journalism project ‘Lost in Europe’ which is supported by ECPMF’s IJ4EU grant. Geejse van Haran and Sanne Torlingen of Small Stream Media in Amsterdam and freelance BBC journalist Ismail Einashe presented the work-in-progress of the project, which relies on crowd-sourcing and intensive fact-checking to trace the estimated 10,000 migrant children who have gone missing in Europe in recent years.
