This online seminar helps you refine your investigation idea, find collaborators and boost your chances of getting funding.
Run by Arena for Journalism in Europe, this Cross-Border Masterclass takes place more than two months before the next deadline for applications for IJ4EU funding, giving you enough time to prepare a killer proposal.
In this half-day seminar, we will walk through the particularities of the cross-border, collaborative investigation process with a focus on selecting a topic and angle, finding your team and preparing a work plan. The overall purpose of the work plan is to get ready for your investigation – including an application for a work grant.
The online masterclass is free to attend. It will be held on July 7 from 09:00 to 12:30 CEST.
Registration is open until two days before the seminar.
The seminar will be run by Brigitte Alfter, director of Arena for Journalism in Europe, and Trine Smistrup, journalism trainer and director of the annual Dataharvest – The European Investigative Journalism Conference.
There will be three additional masterclasses during the current edition of the IJ4EU programme, one on July 21 and two later this year, in the run-up to the second call for IJ4EU applications in January.
